Become an Individualized Child Support Worker, delivering tailored support in the shíshálh Nation Child Care Program. Your role focuses on ensuring children's growth in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
This dynamic position focuses on meeting the unique physical, emotional, and cultural needs of a designated child. You will work closely with parents and educators to create effective, personalized care plans. By incorporating shíshálh Nation teachings into daily activities, you’ll help reinforce the child’s sense of belonging and identity, making a profound impact on their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help children communicate their needs with others • Advocate for the child’s personal and developmental needs • Facilitate small groups to improve social skills • Collaborate with other professionals for proper care • Regularly check the child’s development and progress
Requirements: • Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred • Valid Level 1 First Aid certification within 3 months • Robust partnership skills with staff and parents • Criminal Record Check necessary • Must be physically able for active involvement
