Location: Lac-Supérieur, QC

Status: Full time

Manager: General Manager

Reporting to the site General Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will manage and oversee all equipment and utility maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment and utilities operate efficiently to support on-site production activities and reduce equipment downtime. The incumbent will collaborate with the Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure that corporate objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct scheduled inspections of equipment, facilities, and utilities to identify issues and required maintenance, and maintain records.

Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.

Manage a small maintenance team, assign tasks, and ensure optimal departmental performance.

Ensure that the team and contractors comply with GMP requirements and safety policies.

Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and without hazards.

Prepare and develop maintenance policies and procedures.

Prepare and implement planned preventive maintenance for all equipment, utilities, and facilities, and maintain all records.





Manage contractors engaged to perform on-site activities.

Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance with it.

Ensure that all production equipment is available for production activities and operates efficiently.

Participate in project coordination (e.g., renovations).

Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure that adequate support is provided for the relevant equipment.

Ensure that all required spare parts are available for equipment and utilities.

Perform any other related duties.

Skills and Qualifications: A minimum of five years of proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar role.

An industrial mechanic licence, an apprentice electrician licence, or an engineering technology diploma is an asset.

Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and regulations.

Understanding of budgeting and employee performance management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
