As a full-solution supplier, the ZAPI GROUP can support every component OEMs need to design effective electric vehicles that meet cost goals and comply with tightening environmental standards.Position Summary:The Electronics Technologist is a versatile team member who uses their mechanical and electronics skills and knowledge to build prototypes, accessories and test fixtures, conduct testing and troubleshooting, write test reports,
and provide general mechanical and electrical support to engineering development teams.Specific Duties:Builds prototypes, sub-assemblies, and accessoriesTests, debugs, and modifies circuit boardsConducts product, sub-assembly, and component level testingConsolidates data and writes test reportsTests and troubleshoots electrical circuits (analog and digital) to component levelBuilds and designs test fixtures and creates supporting documentation, which may include schematics, mechanical drawings, bill of materialsCreates schematics from engineering drawings and design PCBs based on specificationsConducts failure analysis, evaluation, and repair of power electronic productsPerforms hand soldering/de-soldering (leaded/un-leaded) to various size PCB’s, components, micros and cable assembliesConducts Hipot testing, leakage testing and ground bond testing on prototypes, test units and field trial units to ensure safety for the end userSafely works with AC and DC power and energy storage up 600 Vac and 1000 VdcTakes thermal images with thermal camera, manipulates photos then uploads images to spreadsheets for analysisWelds thermocouple wire and applies them to test units for thermal measurementsSets up, programs, and runs product characterization and reliability tests with electronic test equipment in HALT and environmental test chambersBuilds, maintains, plumbs, and operates water-glycol liquid cooling systemsLoads software into prototypes,
