About the role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating and following up daily on production activities with our co-manufacturers, as well as ensuring the accuracy of manufacturing data in our systems. In a model where production is carried out by external partners, this person will track production runs, manage work orders in the ERP and maintain daily communication with co-manufacturers. This role directly contributes to the smooth execution of the production plan and to the reliability of data used to track inventory, yields and manufacturing costs.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will:
- Coordinate the daily follow-up of production activities with co-manufacturers and internal teams.
- Create and maintain work orders in the ERP system in accordance with the production plan provided.
- Validate that the quantities, products and deadlines listed on work orders match the established production plan.
- Track ongoing production runs and schedules with co-manufacturers.
- Obtain the required production confirmations and data from co-manufacturers within established timelines.
- Close work orders by accurately entering material consumption and quantities produced as reported by partners.
- Identify missing information or discrepancies between planned and reported quantities and carry out necessary follow-ups.
- Promptly communicate issues or discrepancies that could impact timelines, inventory or production costs.
- Keep manufacturing data in the ERP up to date according to approved information and changes.
- Maintain BOMs and technical data sheets according to communicated and approved changes.
- Keep records, data and documents related to production runs and material movements up to date.
- Support the Manager in preparing information needed to track co-manufacturer performance.
- Collaborate with the Planning, Purchasing,
Logistics and Quality teams to ensure the fast and accurate flow of production-related information.
- Participate in the application and improvement of manufacturing unit processes and procedures.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in production coordination, manufacturing, operations or supply chain.
- Comfortable with an ERP system; experience with NetSuite is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Bilingual French-English, a strong asset.
- Detail-oriented and reliable, with high accuracy in data entry and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with high-volume recurring tasks.
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with external partners, particularly co-manufacturers.
- Ability to carry out rigorous follow-ups and quickly identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Experience in an outsourced production or co-manufacturing environment, an asset.
- Experience in packaged consumer goods, an asset.
