Job Overview

Fine Education is a tutoring academy in Burnaby offering individualized and small-group academic support, primarily for international students.

We are currently looking for Math and Science Teachers to join our team. These are separate teaching areas, and applicants are welcome to apply for either Math or Science based on their subject expertise. Candidates who are qualified to teach both subjects are also welcome to apply.

Requirements

- Able to teach one or more of the following:
- Math 8–12
- Science 10–12, including Biology, Physics and/or Chemistry
- Graduated from a Canadian high school or secondary school
- Robust English communication skills
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
- Reliable and comfortable working with secondary school students

Duties

- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the BC curriculum and educational standards
- Teach Math and/or Science courses based on your subject expertise




- Apply a variety of instructional methods to engage and support diverse learners
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and other coursework
- Provide individualized support based on student needs and academic progress

Schedule

- Classes are generally scheduled in 4:00 PM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–8:00 PM time blocks
- A minimum of approximately 8 teaching hours per week is guaranteed
- Additional teaching hours may be available depending on instructor availability
- Applicants should be able to commit for at least one full semester (3-months)

Experience

Previous experience teaching or tutoring Mathematics or Science at the secondary level is highly desirable. Korean language is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
