Assist in environmental projects with the Métis Nation of Ontario as a dedicated Environmental Project Advisor. Focus on initiatives related to conservation, water quality, and community engagement. In this role, you will work within the Lands, Resources and Consultations branch, driving projects like MNO berry patch monitoring and community gardens.
You'll engage directly with communities, facilitating their involvement in environmental efforts while conducting field studies and environmental assessments. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage environmental initiatives and projects
- Conduct research and data collection for various programs
- Prepare project communications and facilitate outreach
- Coordinate community engagement meetings and logistics
- Maintain thorough records of all project activities Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the environmental sector
- University degree with specialization in environmental studies
- Understanding of Indigenous and environmental issues
- Robust organizational and relationship management skills
- Proficient in environmental monitoring technology Drive impactful environmental initiatives and support the MNO community in preserving their natural heritage.
