Elevate your engineering career with Elk Valley Resources, located in the scenic Elk Valley of British Columbia. As a Mining Engineer, you'll optimize long-range plans for sustainable development and operations in a collaborative team environment. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, this role focuses on pit, spoil, and haul road design optimization.
You will conduct evaluations that support the Life of Mine at Line Creek Operations. Successful candidates will possess robust problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health and safety policies
- Mentor Engineers-in-Training in a teamwork setting
- Optimize pit and closure design for sustainability
- Perform production scheduling and data analysis
- Assist in mine permit applications and compliance Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering or related field
- Minimum five years’ experience in mine planning
- Eligible for EGBC registration as a Professional Engineer
- Proficient in XPAC Solutions and Minesight3D
