The Opportunity This position is based at our Montreal, Quebec office and requires on‑site presence four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day. What You’ll Do Reporting to the Controller, the Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position addresses a multitude of financial activities including actual close reporting, financial planning and analysis, internal control monitoring, external & internal audit, special projects etc.
The Manager General
Accounting supervises directly four accountants and works with other CFS team members where any initiatives impact the financial reporting (ops accounting, payroll, treasury, AR).

Accounting will have contact with senior-level Management which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the month-end/year-end financial close process per local and US reporting, in strict adherence to timelines (HFM, SCR, CAR Report etc.).
- Ensure delivery of accurate financial information in accordance with corporate reporting and statutory requirement.
- Work with the Controller to develop the CFS Plan and Rolling Best Estimates (RLBE).
- Work with the Controller to monitor and analyze the CFS monthly operating results against budget and report performance to the Corporate Team.
- Conduct quarterly review of balance sheet for all divisions, in conjunction with the division Controllers to ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
- Manage operations of accounting function and strive for continuous improvement activities as part of day-to-day efforts.
- Work with Genpact shared service operations and review related KPIs.
- Provide accounting orientation and guidance to new personnel and to all divisions in relation to financial processes and policies.
- Support Controller with special projects and other CFS /entity related requirements.

- The incumbent must be able to communicate well in English (80% of the time), as his or her duties require interaction with stakeholders and colleagues outside Quebec and Canada.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles and best practices as they relate to timely, accurate and relevant financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of budgeting, rolling estimates, variance analysis and cost control principles.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office series (excel, PowerPoint, word).
- Bilingual written and oral (English and French)
- Knowledge of databases: JDE, HFM, SCR, TM1
Education And Required Experience
- Specialized Graduate Diploma – Professional Accounting – CPA
- 8 years and more in the field
- 5+ years of accounting/audit/financial planning experience, including:
- a minimum of 5 years of management and supervisory experience with a large multinational company;
- a minimum of 2 years in a public accounting firm.
