They are committed to excellence, diversity, truth and reconciliation, and actively contribute to continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesLead daily school operations and strategic direction, fostering a protected and caring environment. Serve as the primary liaison among staff, families, First Nations, and community partners to enhance student achievement. Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform planning, instruction, and learning. Implement inclusive education practices and effective behaviour support.
Develop and execute strategic school planning aligned with provincial and district goals.Qualifications and AbilitiesCompleted or working on a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field.Valid BC Teacher Certification or ability to obtain.Demonstrated ability as an effective instructional leader with successful administrative experience.Experience collaborating with staff, parents, First Nations and the broader community to enhance student achievement.Awareness and sensitivity to current educational issues, reflective professional practice, and commitment to BC Education system goals.Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform school planning, instruction, and learning.Knowledge of current research in instructional practices related to effective literacy and numeracy instruction.Commitment to implementing district food initiatives.Knowledge of effective behaviour support and inclusive education strategies.Team‑building ability to strengthen teaching and learning practices focusing on literacy, numeracy and cognitive development.Knowledge of current assessment and reporting strategies in BC.Experience developing and implementing strategic school planning aligned with Ministry and District goals.Commitment to school/community involvement and collaboration.Knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous culture and learning, and a history of building positive relationships that focus on student success.Knowledge of school contractual and budgetary matters.Working knowledge of Office 365,
