Optometric Receptionist – Part-Time

Academy Optical is looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Optometric Receptionist to join our team 3–4 days per week.

Optical experience or knowledge is an asset, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person and provide opportunities to become cross-trained in optical.

What You’ll Do

- Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service
- Answer phones and assist patients with questions
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Process payments and provide receipts
- Maintain accurate patient records and information
- Communicate with patients regarding glasses, contact lenses, and orders
- Contact patients when glasses or contact lenses are ready
- Assist with general administrative and reception duties
- Work closely with our optometrists and opticians
- Learn and assist with optical duties as training is provided
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic

What We’re Looking For
- Previous customer service, reception, or administrative experience
- Optical experience or knowledge is an asset




- Interest in learning about the optical industry
- Willingness to become cross-trained in optical
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Professional and friendly personality
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
