Plumbing Inspector

28 hours biweekly

Hourly Range: $39.48 - $50.64

: Under direction, performs plumbing inspection work involved in enforcing relevant public health laws within the jurisdiction; does other related duties as required.

Examples of Work:

Conducts plumbing inspections to enforce relevant public health laws.

Receives and examines plans for plumbing work.

Determines the cause of violations and takes corrective actions.

Prepares reports and provides testimony in court cases

Maintains records and files

Required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and or manaul recording and information used by the agency, office, or related units.

License:



Applicants must possess a valid license as a Plumbing Inspector of the appropriate level, Industrial and Commercial (ICS), issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in Current Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
