Role Description The Apprentice Mechanic role is a full time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. In this role, the apprentice assists experienced mechanics with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment, including routine maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks. Daily responsibilities include supporting maintenance and repair work, helping identify mechanical issues, performing basic troubleshooting, and keeping work areas, tools, and equipment organized and safe. The apprentice follows established procedures, adheres to safety standards,



and documents work performed under the guidance of senior technicians. This role offers practical learning opportunities and progressive responsibility as skills develop.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair for mechanical systems and components.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Heavy Equipment handling and service.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to help diagnose mechanical and technical issues.
- Basic knowledge of automotive or diesel mechanics and interest in developing trade skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely with tools and equipment, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Good physical stamina and willingness to work in a shop setting with manual tasks.
- Relevant vocational training, apprenticeship enrollment, or mechanical coursework is an asset.
