Canada Post is looking for a temporary, on-call Mail Service Courier in Québec, QC . As a professional driver with a Class 3 or Class 1 licence and appropriate provincial air brake endorsements, you will use a corporate vehicle to pick up and deliver mail, load and unload postal vehicles, and play an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction.

Language Requirement: French Essential

Responsibilities

- Load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property safe and secure at all times
- Collect, sort, and deliver mail
- Operate portable communications devices
- Perform vehicle safety checks
- Complete documentation and maintain records
- Communicate with customers and the public
- Shuttle corporate delivery vehicles between parking locations and loading platforms to facilitate pre-loading

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver's licence (or higher) with the appropriate provincial air brake endorsements




- A safe driving record for at least 3 years (recent driver's abstract or commercial driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days required)
- Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
- Availability to work on short notice

Assets (Nice to Have)

- Experience in customer service
- Experience as a skilled driver in commercial delivery
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck or larger
