If you’re a customer-oriented analyst with a keen attention to detail, then this is the role for you!Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate communication of billing rates and requirements to lawyers, the Client Services Team, and Business Services Support Teams.Manage billing rate agreement renewals on an annual and ad hoc basis, collaborating with responsible lawyers.Maintain the Special Fee Rate report, highlighting any special billing rate arrangements to the Toronto Finance Committee.Communicate any rate inconsistencies with the responsible lawyer(s) and coordinate the agreement process.Analyze and propose billing rates for new timekeepers, without predetermined set rates.Manage the Recent Matter Intake System, as it relates to billing requirements, for new clients and new matters firmwide.Develop intimate knowledge of client arrangements with financial institutions and assist with setting annual rates.Manage billing rate databases, reports and trackers, adhering to the higher level of confidentiality.Review client Outside Counsel Guidelines with a specific focus on billing rates,



alternate fee arrangement and staffing of the file.Assist in documenting and refining processes and procedures.May perform other duties within the nature and level of the job.Job SpecificationsKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or office administration.Experience in the legal industry or a professional services environment is an asset.Previous billing or eBilling experience is an asset.Skill and AbilitiesExcellent project coordination and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, coupled with a quick grasp of new technologies.Proficient in CMS or Elite experience is an asset.Strong and confident communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to use good judgment when balancing competing priorities.A team player able to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders.$65,000–$75,000 annually.Stikeman Elliott is committed to accommodating people with disabilities as part of our hiring process.
