The role ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of food safety management systems, supports employee training and awareness, and drives compliance with regulatory and company standards. The position works closely with factory teams to maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen factory performance. This position is an existing vacancy.A day in the life:Leads factory food safety teamOversees Pest Control Management, Allergen Management, Food Defence, Food Fraud, Environmental & Pathogen Monitoring, Pre-Requisite Program, etc.Evaluates cleaning/sanitation effectiveness to prevent microbiological, allergenic contaminationsEnsures functioning Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS)
are in placeLiaises Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)Coordinates internal GMP inspections - Ensures the closure of findingsRepresents quality and food safety in capital project meetingsConducts extended run validation studies to help factory important measures (e.G. Asset Intensity) while ensures food safety requirements are metCoach employees on everybody’s role and impact on food safetyReview internal GMP inspection findings and follow-up with involved functions to ensure timely completionEnsure cascade of emerging threats and trends in food safety topics and strategies to mitigate risksSupport the quality failures analysis and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives to eliminate the defects related to food safetySupport problem solving and solution development during incident investigation regarding food safetyEnsure audit readiness for food safety auditsRole RequirementsUniversity degree or equivalent, preferably in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Technology, Microbiology, Medical Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.Experience in the food manufacturing industry with strong food safety knowledge and risk assessment experience.Experience implementing and maintaining food safety programs, including GMP, sanitation, allergen control, environmental monitoring, and corrective actions.Experience supporting regulatory audits, third-party audits, audit teams, continuous improvement initiatives, or change projects.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a factory environment with Quality, Production Support, and other cross-functional teams.Leadership capability to supervise and develop team members while driving food safety compliance.Versatile, reliable, and able to support operational needs, including occasional off-shift, weekend,
