Job DescriptionReporting to the Team Leader, Accident Benefit Claims, you are accountable for investigating, evaluating and settling Accident Benefit claims.ResponsibilitiesReport to the Team Leader, Accident Benefit Claims, while investigating, evaluating and settling accident benefit claims in accordance with the Insurance ActSecure details of claims by corresponding with claimants and/or representativesAssess covering eligibility and review & apply interpretations of policy wordings to resolve coverage issuesProcess income replacement, non‑earner and attendant care claimsReserve files appropriately after assessing claimMaintain detailed file records in an electronic claims systemProcess payments after confirming benefits, eligibility and reservesCoordinate the most effective course of action for claimsConfirm collateral benefitsRespond to claimant correspondence and accident benefit forms according to applicable legislationReview and approve, when appropriate, treatment plans for claimant rehabilitationArrange insurer examinations to determine benefits eligibilityPrepare referral packages and obtain the necessary medical information for insurer examinationsRespond to assessment recommendationsOther duties as assignedQualifications and ExperienceUniversity degree,
