Wiikwemkoong Security By-Law Enforcement Administrative AssistantThe Wiikwemkoong Security By-Law Enforcement is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory (WUT). This role provides essential administrative, clerical, and operational support to ensure smooth daily functioning of the department. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Operations Manager of Security By-Law Enforcement.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) for reports, surveillance logs, vehicle records, incident files, and departmental documentation.Prepare memos, correspondence, notices, and departmental communications.Manage incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries, ensuring skilled and timely responses.Support the drafting, formatting, and distribution of policies, procedures, and operational updates.Assist with incident reporting data entry, tracking, and monthly/annual reporting for management review.Maintain and update schedules for officer shifts, training sessions, equipment use, and community events.Track drone registration, equipment logs, patrol assignments, and other operational requirements in alignment with departmental procedures.Provide logistical support during community events, security operations, and emergency responses as required.Process purchase orders, invoices, expense claims, and budget tracking documents.Manage inventory for uniforms, radios, surveillance equipment, keys, and office supplies.Maintain vehicle maintenance logs, scheduling service appointments for inspections, alignments, oil changes,



and tire replacements.Ensure secure handling of sensitive and confidential information in accordance with Wikwemikong policies and relevant legislation.Support compliance efforts for internal policies, Transport Canada drone regulations, surveillance protocols, and safety standards.REQUIREMENTSPost‑secondary certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Experience in an administrative or clerical role, ideally in security, public service, or community‑based organizations.Three years of Office Administration experience, preferably with Indigenous communities.Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and digital record‑keeping.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.Knowledge of Wiikwemikong community values, processes, and governance is an asset.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.OTHERClear CPIC background check.Valid driver’s license is considered an asset.Willingness to participate in relevant training (administration, emergency response support, cultural training, etc.).Ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin is a definite asset.SALARYGrade 5 Step 1 $65,009.00LOCATIONOn‑sitePOSTINGApril 4, 2026 Closing Date: Until FilledAPPLICATIONSInterested applicants should submit a letter of application, current resume, copies of applicable diplomas or certificates, and contact information for three work‑related references, including the current supervisor.
