The successful candidate can be based at any one of our following offices: Hamilton, Toronto, or London.We offer versatile work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likeDesign & DraftingAssist Electrical Engineers and Project Managers with the design and drafting support for multi-disciplinary projectsAssist with the preparation of reports, specifications, and project memosAssist with electrical calculations including voltage drop, load calculations, short circuit analysis and Arch Flash studiesOn-site observationPerformance of electrical observations and inspections during constructionReview shop drawings, respond to request for information from contractorsCommissioning of on-site systemsBusiness travel upon requestLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in qualified associations and committeesQualificationsAn electrical engineering technologist diplomaRegistration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or eligibility to be certified within six monthsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsExperienceTwo to three years’ work experience, however less experienced professionals will be consideredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 (or newer)Working knowledge of Revit as a Building Information Management (BIM) design toolWorking knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and related building codesMicrostation experience is an assetHands‑on experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems is requiredCompensation$47,900 - $77,100Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
