Kelly is currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor on behalf of a well-established plastics manufacturer in Brantford, Ontario.

What You'll Be Doing Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees.
- Create a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Support employee training, onboarding, and development initiatives.
- Manage attendance, vacation schedules, overtime requests, and employee relations matters.

Safety

- Promote and enforce all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are following safe work practices and using required PPE.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, observations, and hazard identification activities.




- Foster a strong culture of safety and housekeeping throughout the facility.

Production & Quality

- Monitor daily production activities to ensure operational targets are achieved.
- Support quality standards and ensure established procedures are consistently followed.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Plant Leadership teams to support production goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions.

Administration

- Complete production reporting and documentation.
- Maintain labour and production records within company systems.
- Review and approve employee attendance records.
- Support compliance with company policies and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience managing employee performance and providing effective coaching.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong Assets

- Experience within plastics manufacturing, extrusion, compounding, polymer processing, chemical processing, or other continuous manufacturing environments.
- SAP experience.
- ISO 9001 experience.
- UKG experience.
- Engineering degree or Engineering Technology diploma.

- 2 weeks Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 2 weeks Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
