Pathways Clubhouse is a community-based, non-profit registered charity serving adults in the Lower Mainland who are living with mental health challenges. Located in Richmond, BC, we have over 300 active members, an average daily attendance of over 70, 25 employees, and are open every day of the year.

We pride ourselves on offering hope, encouragement, and opportunities to our members. Our services include pre-vocational, employment, volunteering, housing, education, physical wellness, social, and public mental health education programs. Our unique model provides a barrier-free, collegial environment where members and staff work together to accomplish the work of the Clubhouse.

About You

As a Program Staff member, reporting to the Program Manager, Career and Housing Unit, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of support and services to members of Pathways Clubhouse, with a particular focus on Employment, Volunteering, Supported Education, and Wellness Programs.

As our Clubhouse is accredited through Clubhouse International, part of your responsibility will be to ensure we continue to uphold the requirements of our accreditation and standards. You are comfortable working side-by-side with staff and members in a generalist role, where you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in a variety of activities across the breadth of our organization.

Employment Program specifics include the ability to screen, train and support members on Transitional Employment (TE) sites in the community and contribute to the development of potential new TE sites.



Ability to provide members with support in obtaining Supported and Independent Employment as well as upgrading their education as needed.

Qualifications

· University degree/diploma in the Social Services field and or Mental Health field and a minimum one year experience working with people with mental health conditions, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

· Sound knowledge of mental health issues and social services available in Canada.

· Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

· Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

· Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 or equivalent and CPR, or able to acquire certification.

· SafeTalk training, or able to acquire it.

· Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check.

Position Details

You will work a 36-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–4:00 pm, and must be available to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as needed.

This is a permanent full-time position. A successful candidate is eligible to enroll in the benefits plan after successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.
