The Sr.
Project
Coordinator is responsible for managing Project deliverables in support of achieving Project objectives over the entire project life cycle for Projects of moderate complexity and risk. The Sr.
Project
Coordinator role is a stepping stone towards the Project Management path at OSI and as such responsibilities include some Project Management tasks and people management although final authority and responsibility rests with the managing Project/Program Manager
What You'll Do Plans the Project including the definition and negotiation of Project Objectives
Creates and manages project schedules and resources in P6
Creates and manages the Project Risk register
Communicates with customers regarding Project scope, schedule and Project issues
Leads Customer meetings
Independently resolves complex Project issues within the budget and schedule mandate
Regularly Tracks EAC and manages Project budget Identifies, builds and manages the project team through project life cycle
Works with PMs and Program Managers to resolve resource conflicts
Reports internal and external stakeholders on progress of project
Attends engineering meetings as required for project
Delivers projects to schedule and scope within budget
Tracks invoices and payments from customer
Supports the organization in planning / scheduling and resource management of projects
Adheres to Systems Delivery project schedule for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting activities
Performs other project coordination tasks as identified in order to support the growth of the PMO
Manages PCs and Project Admins as needed.
Carries out authority to direct engineers, production and supporting staff on the required steps needed to deliver the projects assigned.
Applies judgment and makes decisions to solve routine or complex issues.
Define work instructions and procedures for direct reports.
Approves timesheets, participates in interviews and supports hiring decisions.
Considerable judgment necessary in handling confidential information.
This role has the responsibility to assure OSI product is designed in a manner that is consistent with the needs of the project requirements and company goals.
Applies judgment in making decisions on best use of corporate information for the assigned projects and tasks.
What You'll Bring Education: Business-related university degree or college diploma and/or courses in accounting or business
Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in a Project Coordinator role in a Systems Delivery domain with demonstrated success handling a succession of projects of increasing complexity culminating in end-to-end responsibility for moderately complex projects.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Definition, negotiation and achievement of Project objectives; self-starter with the ability to work independently; excellent judgement and complex problem solving abilities; risk management; Customer management and relationship ownership; highly accurate; detail and deadline oriented; people management experience; advanced Microsoft Office skills; ability to multi-task; working knowledge of general accounting software, MAS 500 would be an asset
