Role Summary The R2R Test Lead (SAP FICO) is responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes within SAP Finance transformation programs. The role will drive test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, stakeholder coordination, and go-live readiness activities to ensure successful implementation of SAP FICO solutions. The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all testing activities related to Finance processes and ensure quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

- Define and implement the overall testing strategy for SAP FICO and R2R business processes.
- Develop test plans, testing schedules, resource allocation plans, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Ensure testing scope aligns with business objectives, project timelines, and release milestones.
- Identify testing risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

Test Design & Execution
- Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing activities.
- Review and validate test scenarios, test scripts, and business process test cases.
- Ensure complete requirement traceability through RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix).
- Coordinate testing activities across business, functional, technical, and integration teams.
- Monitor test execution progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Defect Management & Governance
- Establish defect management processes and testing governance frameworks.
- Lead defect triage meetings and coordinate issue resolution activities.
- Track, prioritize, and report defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Monitor defect trends and recommend corrective actions to improve solution quality.
- Ensure timely closure of critical and high-priority defects.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Collaborate with Finance business users,



project managers, functional consultants, and system integrators.
- Conduct testing status reviews and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate SIT/UAT readiness assessments and sign-off discussions.
- Escalate critical risks, issues, and dependencies impacting project timelines.

Go-Live Readiness & Test Closure
- Support production deployment and go-live readiness activities.
- Validate completion of all testing deliverables and exit criteria.
- Conduct testing closure assessments and lessons-learned sessions.
- Prepare test closure reports and readiness recommendations for production deployment.
- Ensure successful completion of SIT/UAT sign-offs before go-live.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in SAP testing with solid expertise in SAP FICO.
- Proven experience leading testing activities in SAP Finance transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) business processes and financial operations.
- Experience managing large-scale SIT, UAT, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and defect management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
