Become a Recreation Therapy Aide at AgeCare, fostering resident engagement and well-being through recreation and leisure activities. This role focuses on building relationships and maintaining social connections in a caring environment. As a Recreation Therapy Aide, you will support various recreational opportunities and document assessments and care plans.
Your role involves evaluating programs and ensuring all resources and supplies are well-maintained. Versatile shifts include working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:
- Complete documentation of resident assessments and care
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement
- Maintain good working condition of recreation supplies
- Work a variety of flexible shifts
- Travel for education, training, and meetings as needed Requirements:
- Certificate or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related field
- Enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program
- Knowledge of recreation services in healthcare settings
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
