We are currently seeking a Reporting and Consolidation Analyst to join our team. This position is a hybrid role.
Reports to: CFO
Role Purpose: This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization's financial reporting and cash flow management processes. As a strategic finance team member, the incumbent will support growth initiatives including acquisitions and integrations, assist external audit activities, and collaborate across the business to drive informed decision-making while developing high-performing finance talent.
Key accountabilities
- Preparation/review of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Review of consolidation of all Resolute Group of companies in accordance with IFRS
- Financial reporting requirements for newly acquired companies, including integration into financial reporting in a timely manner
- Prepare calculation of quarterly and annual company-wide incentives
- Review IFRS 16 calculations on a monthly basis
- Review balance sheet, P&L; and cash flow statement on a monthly basis
- Review/prepare month over month fluctuation of P&L;, including payroll analysis
- Develop internal reporting package for executives,
ensuring best insight into segmented results
- Work with the FP&A; team to ensure operating management team has adequate information to analyze financial trends and metrics
- Annual audit
- Serve as one of the key point of contact for auditors and tax accountants
- Prepare Purchase Price Analysis for newly acquired companies
- Support with Resolute entity amalgamations and related compliance
- Support with financial due diligence for new acquisitions or business ventures as may be required from time to time by the Corporate Development team
- Provide coaching and mentorship for team members
- Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time, including cross training of staff and assistance for planned & unplanned absences across the finance function
Skills and Competencies
- Strong critical thinking and analytical judgment, including the ability to perform reasonableness checks, validate completeness and accuracy, and interpret results beyond the spreadsheet
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting
- Solid financial literacy and understanding of core accounting and financial concepts
- Clear, confident communication with the ability to collaborate across Operations and Finance
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace
Experience and qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial role.
- Professional designation and/or graduate education (CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience) is considered an asset
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $70,000 - $90,000
