The Field Manager will support the Western Canadian retail store locations by ensuring the stores deliver exceptional customer service while driving sales and managing day to day business operations including expense management, training, inventory shrink, visual merchandising, financial reporting and security, inventory control, and store level marketing.
- Work with store management teams to achieve and exceed all sales, profit and KPI targets while effectively managing payroll and maintaining inventory shrinkage within established guidelines.
- Analyze sales and traffic trends, collaborate with Division Manager to develop and execute action plans for each store to increase store and region sales while driving profitability.
- Drive sales and service achievement through leadership, coaching and modeling skills.
- Lead by example – influence store teams to complete job duties effectively and efficiently.
- Be available to answer questions and support store teams when needed, especially during peak selling times (which includes nights and weekends).
- Develop short-term and long-term store and district strategies to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Create alignment and focus on company priorities and expectations through consistent communication, reinforcement and follow up.
- Coaching and feedback- clearly articulate strengths and opportunities with Store Managers and store teams.
- Actively network on a consistent basis. Ensure that there is viable bench strength for all positions in the area. Establish clear succession plans for management teams.
- Manage payroll within established guidelines, while maximizing payroll for key selling hours.
- Analysis, decision making and problem solving: resolve difficult or complicated challenges while using good judgement, partnering with home office team members when appropriate.
- Hold store teams accountable to company policies and procedures.
- Analyze business results and make strong decisions based on business acumen.
- Ensure that all stores in the region follow visual guidelines and directives.
- Ensure a consistent superior customer experience in all stores – manage store compliments and complaints for the region.
- Conduct regular visits to competitor locations and report observed changes in pricing, promotions, merchandise assortments and displays.
- Provide feedback on store business, store needs, customer requests, challenges in the field and store maintenance issues to the home office team in a timely fashion.
- Prov ide ongoing product and salesmanship training for the stores to achieve sales goals.

Ensure that all managers are trained and performing to company requirements.
