We are a small Hong Kong-style café in Waterloo looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchen Cook / Line Cook to join our 2-person kitchen team.

prefer Mandarin and Cantonese

Responsibilities
Food preparation and portioning
Meat marination and sauce preparation
Vegetable preparation
Cooking and order preparation during service
Maintaining consistent food quality, portion size and presentation
Dishwashing using a commercial dishwasher
Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, equipment and workstations
Restocking and organizing ingredients
Following recipes, food safety and kitchen procedures
Working closely with the other kitchen team member during busy periods

What we’re looking for:
Previous restaurant/kitchen experience preferred
Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced kitchen




Able to handle different kitchen tasks rather than only one station
Fast, organized and clean
Positive attention to portion, presentation and consistency
Reliable and able to work as part of a team

Important:

This is a 2-person kitchen, so both team members share prep and service responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on and helping wherever needed during busy periods.

Staff meal provided.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
