Full job description

Best Brains Learning Centre is looking for a Part-Time High School Math & English Teacher who enjoys working with students and can provide transparent, patient instruction in a small-group learning environment.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable teaching high school Math, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and basic Functions. Students will also be working on English worksheets, so the teacher should be comfortable guiding students with English concepts and helping them understand and correct their work.

Responsibilities
Teach and support students in Math and English.
Explain Math concepts clearly and step-by-step.
Be comfortable teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Functions, equations, graphing, factoring, exponents, and related high school Math concepts.
Guide students with English worksheets, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing.




Review students' work and help them understand and correct mistakes.
Provide individual guidance based on each student's learning needs.
Maintain a positive and productive learning setting.

Qualifications
Robust knowledge of high school Math is required.
Must be comfortable teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and basic Functions.
Strong written and spoken English.
Comfortable assisting students with English worksheets.
Patient, dependable, and able to explain concepts clearly.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset.
University or college students with strong Math and English skills are encouraged to apply.

Education
College or university education in progress or completed is preferred.

Experience
Teaching or tutoring: 1 year preferred
