We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to support the fabrication and installation of specialized shielding used in X-ray and medical imaging settings. This role involves working with lead-lined materials, precision measurements, and construction techniques that ensure safety and compliance with radiation protection standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Build, assemble, and install lead-lined walls, doors, panels, and other shielding components for X-ray and imaging rooms.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to radiation shielding.
Measure, cut, and fit materials including wood, sheet goods, metal framing, and lead-lined drywall or plywood.
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements for radiation protection and follows proper safety procedures.
Collaborate with project managers, installers, and technicians to complete projects on schedule.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.




Inspect and verify installed shielding for accuracy and quality before project handoff.

Qualifications:
2+ years of carpentry experience (commercial or specialty construction preferred).
Experience handling heavy materials and precision carpentry tools.
Ability to read construction drawings and follow detailed instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various in office conditions.
Knowledge of lead-lined materials or radiation shielding is an asset (training provided if needed).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
