Experienced Alarm, CCTV & Access Control Technician

APC Alarm Ltd. is looking for an experienced Security Systems Technician to join our growing team. We are seeking someone with hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining alarm systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems for residential and commercial customers.

Responsibilities
Install, program, service, and troubleshoot intrusion alarm systems
Install and service CCTV / IP camera systems
Install and service access control systems
Troubleshoot wiring, network, communication, and equipment issues
Perform system upgrades and equipment replacements
Provide professional on-site service to residential and commercial customers
Complete service reports and communicate clearly with customers and our office
Work independently and as part of our technical team

Qualifications
Previous experience as an Alarm / Security Systems Technician is required
Experience with alarm, CCTV, and access control systems
Positive troubleshooting and technical skills
Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and basic networking
TQ certification/license preferred




Valid BC driver's licence with a good driving record
Able to work independently and responsibly
Good communication and customer-service skills
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a solid asset, as we serve many Chinese-speaking customers

Experience with systems such as DSC, Qolsys, Alarm.com, Kantech, Keyscan, Uniview, Avigilon, Verkada or similar security products would be an asset.
