Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality food items, supporting kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with inventory and data entry tasks. The ideal candidate has strong kitchen experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily operations and busy service hours
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control
Assist with prep work, meal assembly, and plating when needed
Monitor kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout each shift
Ensure all food handling, storage, and safety procedures are followed
Restock supplies and monitor product levels to support smooth kitchen operations
Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and ordering needs
Complete basic data entry related to inventory, waste tracking, ordering, and daily kitchen records
Train and guide kitchen team members on procedures, standards, and safe work practices
Requirements
Previous kitchen, cooking, or food service experience required
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced restaurant setting
Robust organization, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and record keeping
Basic computer or data entry skills are an asset
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, consistent food quality, and a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
