Summary

Canadian Maritime Engineering Ltd. (CME) is seeking a skilled Journeyman Mechanic and Apprentice Mechanic to join our Victoria team. We’re looking for someone with robust diagnostic abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work both independently and within a crew. Marine experience is an asset, but not required.

Key Responsibilities for Journeyman Mechanic
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Complete work orders and documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications
Journeyman Mechanic
Red Seal preferred but not required
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills




Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s licence
Marine mechanical experience considered an asset
