Since it's original formation in 1971, Shkopich has been a leader in providing a full line of environmental services across Saskatchewan. Shkopich is now operating as PROTEX ENVIRONMENTAL and services commercial, industrial and institutional organizations in solid waste disposal and recycling, industrial cleaning vacuum truck services, used oil materials recovery and recycling, and other specialized services.

Position & Scope

The Recovery Technician will be responsible for operating our class 5 units (Class 5 license is required, but Class 3A license is preferred) for used oil, filters, and plastics along with other various waste streams throughout the province. The Recovery Technician will require a high level of professionalism and customer service to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote Protex Environmental's service throughout Saskatchewan.

Key Accountabilities
Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinators instructions
Provide exceptional in office service to customers and continuously promote Protex's service offerings




Complete service paperwork in accordance with Protex and TDG regulations
Safely operate all required transport equipment & ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components, and other assigned equipment
Able to complete manual labour and lift 50lbs
Participate in the Protex safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.

Requirements
Clean drivers abstract (Class 5) is required, but a class 3A is preferred.
Able to work independently
Comfortable with manual labour
Customer service experience
TDG knowledge and experience
Self-motivated attitude
Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
Ability to work out of town and overnight trips will be required for this position
Experience with making drop-offs and pick-ups would be considered an asset

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
