Highbury Park Dental is a busy, growing family practice in Barrhaven, and we're looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to be the first voice and first face our patients meet.

What sets this role apart

A schedule you can actually plan around. This is a fixed two-week rotation, published in advance, not "evenings and weekends as needed." One evening per week, and you alternate a Saturday one week with a Friday the next — never both in the same week.

Week A: Mon 9–6, Tue 10–6, Wed 12–8, Thu 10–6, Sat 9–3

Week B: Mon 9–6, Tue 10–6, Wed 12–8, Thu 10–6, Fri 12–8

Roughly 40 hours per week, guaranteed. No split shifts, no last-minute changes.

A clear path on pay. $28–$34 per hour to start, based on your experience. A scheduled increase after six months. We put it in writing in your offer letter, not left to a future conversation.

A team that stays. Our office manager has run this front desk for years and will train you directly. You will not be handed a headset and left alone.

Greet and check in patients

Answer phones and manage the schedule

Confirmations and recall

Insurance verification and claim submission

Treatment plan presentation and collecting payment

Chart and document management





End-of-day reconciliation

What we're looking for

Previous dental reception experience — this is the one thing we won't compromise on

Comfortable with practice management software. We use Open Dental and NexHealth; Dentrix, AbelDent, Tracker, Curve or similar all transfer well and we'll train you on ours

Insurance and billing knowledge

At ease presenting treatment plans and asking for payment

Warm, calm and organised on a busy phone line

Bilingual French/English is an asset

Pay: $28–$34 per hour, based on experience, with a scheduled increase after 6 months
