Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood learning and development
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills, communication, and independence
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
Use computer skills to document daily activities, attendance, and incident reports efficiently
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a daycare or early childhood education setting
Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse families
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
Solid communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation
Ability to operate computers and related software for record keeping and communication purposes
Demonstrated leadership qualities with effective time management skills
Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary credentials if not already held
