Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic is seeking a cheerful and motivated animal-lover for a full time, permanent Veterinary Receptionist position. We are a 3 doctor, CVO accredited companion animal hospital that focuses on dogs and cats . The ideal candidate will be dedicated to bettering the lives of clients and patients alike.
Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or text in a timely and qualified manner.
Answering calls, booking appointments, submitting insurance claims, following up on patients and contacting clients for reminders, able to correspond with clients in person, by phone, text and email.
Serve as a liaison between doctors, and clients
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions in our database.
Data entry, transcribing and maintaining electronic patient files in accordance with CVO regulations.
Follow up with clients to ensure their issues have been resolved satisfactorily.
Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies to provide informed support.
Handling payments, balancing end of day and closing interac machine.
Requirements
Previous veterinary clinic and Avimark experience considered an asset
Previous experience in customer support in a veterinary clinic setting
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus.
Proficient in using computer systems and software for record keeping and communication.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
