Position: Early Childhood Educator – School-Age Program
Schedule: Split Shift | 7:00–9:00 AM and 1:00–6:00 PM
Location: Lakeland Ridge School, Sherwood Park, AB
Hourly Wage: $17.50–$20.00/hour, plus applicable wage top-up depending on qualifications

Nature Wanderers Childcare is looking for a passionate, caring, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Out-of-School Care (OSC) team at Lakeland Ridge School.

We are a nature-oriented childcare program that believes children learn through play, exploration, meaningful relationships, and connection with the world around them. We are looking for an educator who enjoys working with school-age children and is excited to create a welcoming environment where children feel protected, valued, confident, and supported.

What You Will Do
Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, exploration, and learning.
Support children's social and emotional development by building positive relationships, encouraging cooperation,



and helping children develop healthy conflict-resolution skills.
Provide attentive care and active supervision while ensuring children's safety, comfort, and well-being.
Encourage children's independence, confidence, leadership, and ability to make meaningful choices.
Provide prospects for children to participate in outdoor play, nature exploration, active games, creative projects, and relaxing activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace where every child feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
Build nurturing relationships with children and support their sense of belonging within the program.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and provide meaningful experiences for school-age children.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and team members.
Follow Nature Wanderers Childcare policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety practices.

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
