Connect rural women with VAW services as a Rural Community Development and Outreach Worker at IHOH. This full time position enhances accessibility through community engagement and innovative outreach. As part of the IHOH team, you'll report directly to the Manager of Community Programs.

Your mission will be to improve access to violence against women services in rural Hamilton through targeted community outreach and education. You'll establish crucial pathways to support systems while addressing barriers women encounter, fostering safer communities. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform proactive outreach to rural populations
- Map community resources to identify gaps in VAW services
- Train local organizations on referral procedures
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning support
- Track outreach effectiveness and community trends Requirements:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Social Services
- Experience in gender-based violence and outreach roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with VAW service networks
- Reliable vehicle for travel throughout rural areas Support the vital work of IHOH by enhancing service accessibility for women experiencing violence.
