Pinnacle International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Hospitality Controller to join our Head Office team in Vancouver, BC. This role plays a key part in overseeing the financial operations and month-end reporting process for our portfolio of hotels and restaurants.
As our hospitality group continues to grow — including upcoming new hotel openings — this role offers the prospect to be involved in financial setup, system implementation, and operational support during the expansion phases.
We are looking for a driven accounting professional who thrives in a quick-paced, growing organization and is eager to contribute to operational excellence across multiple hospitality assets.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Support and help guide a team of 12 accounting staff
Provide financial and operational support to hotel and restaurant management teams
Review monthly bank reconciliations and maintain integrity of financial records
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Perform account analysis and identify opportunities for process improvements
Support year-end financial reporting and coordinate required documentation for audits
Assist with internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications & Experience:
CPA designation (required)
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in hospitality accounting is considered an asset
Experience with SAGE 300 and/or Yardi is an asset
Moderate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
Solid analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative approach
