Job Summary

Cambridge Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a temporary, full time Medical Receptionist to cover a maternity leave beginning late November 2026. This is a great chance for an experienced medical office professional to join a busy diagnostic imaging clinic and provide excellent patient-facing service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients, confirming and updating demographic and health card information
Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls and taking accurate messages for technologists, radiologists, and referring physicians
Schedule and confirm diagnostic imaging appointments (e.g., X-ray, ultrasound, mammography), including preparation instructions
Process incoming/outgoing faxes, referral requisitions, and reports between referring physicians, specialists, and other clinics
Maintain and organize patient charts and records in accordance with clinic and privacy protocols
Collect and process payments and third-party billing where applicable
Support daily office operations,



including inventory and supply organization as needed
Provide compassionate, professional service to patients who may be anxious about procedures or result

Requirements
Previous experience in a medical office or diagnostic imaging setting required
Experience with SIMMS and Ocean MD platforms strongly preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical scheduling software
Strong multi-line phone etiquette and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Medical Office Administration diploma/certificate an asset
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient triage principles
