Degree in Life Sciences or Kinesiology is required

Role & Responsibilities of Intake Assessor & Clinical Assistant:

Intake Assessors & Clinical Assistants are responsible for the following:

Ø Completing the detailed patient assessment and physical exam

Ø Entering all information into patient charting

Ø Brief physician and co-ordinate meeting patient

Ø Ensure that all other modalities within clinic are mentioned

Ø Document and send letters required to appropriate physicians etc

Ø Forward referral/imaging requests

Ø Preparing room for day’s assessments

Ø Booking appointments, and Ensuring appointments are kept on schedule





Ø Collect urine to be sent to lab for UDT

Ø Continual cleaning of assessment room and tools

Intake Assessors do initial assessments of pain patients under the supervision of a Physician. They collect all medical history, do a brief physical exam, and report all findings to the Physician. Intake Assessors are responsible for the reporting of all assessment and treatment plan suggestions being sent to referring physicians/clinics.

Must be able to work well under pressure and strict timelines

Must be able to lift and move patients where necessary

Must have solid communication, compassion, patience and professionalism

Must have vast knowledge of MS Word, Excel & email

Will be exposed to sharps and bodily fluids (UDT, Intrvenous)

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
