Become an integral part of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a Term Educational Assistant. This full time role supports students with special needs from 8:20am to 4:00pm each day, making a tangible difference.The Educational Assistant will work under the Principal’s guidance to support students with various disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The job requires flexibility in handling personal care and integrating into both academic and leisure activities, such as swimming pools.



You'll collaborate with educators to enhance student learning experiences and emotional well-being.Key Responsibilities:- Assist with educational support for special needs students- Implement individualized programs for diverse learning needs- Engage in pool activities and other physical supports- Aid teachers with classroom management and student care- Contribute to yard duties and personal assistanceRequirements:- Diploma in Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Care, or relevant field- Minimum 1-2 years of special needs educational experience- First Aid and CPR Level C certification is an asset- Training in behaviour management or crisis intervention systems- Familiarity with educational software is a plusLeverage your skills in supporting diverse learners and help foster a positive community at Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.#J-18808-Ljbffr
