Minimum qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Project, lab, or coursework experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, or investigative/incident response environments.
- Experience with programming or scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

- Currently attending a degree program in Canada and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.
- In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
- Experience in one or more security disciplines: SOC analysis, threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research.
- Familiarity with fundamentals of operating systems, including Linux, macOS, or Windows.

Responsibilities

- Provide guidance on building and/or maturing cybersecurity programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.

- Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex and highly technical subjects.

- Implement and/or assess existing security controls.

- Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to close any issues that impact the service and its value to clients.
- Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within customer environment to drive resolution for security issues.
