Lead a support team as a Direct Support Skilled in Beamsville, focused on empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving their personal and community goals. Flexibility in working hours is essential to provide continuous support.
In this Full time role, you will work closely with clients, promoting a client-centered approach that drives success in skill development and daily living activities. Responsibilities include case management, personal healthcare assistance, and fostering solid relationships within the community. Your leadership will be integral to team effectiveness and compliance with internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate team tasks and provide ongoing feedback
• Facilitate a client-centered approach to care
• Administer medications and monitor wellness
• Support personal finances and home upkeep
• Ensure effective communication and documentation
Requirements:
• Social Services degree/diploma
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of local community resources
• Fluency in French is an asset
