We are seeking an experienced

Senior Performance Engineer for our client with 7+ years of hands-on expertise to drive our end-to-end performance engineering and reliability strategy. In this role, you will lead large-scale testing initiatives, architect workload models, and diagnose performance bottlenecks across complex, cloud-native environments. If you thrive on deep-dive root cause analysis and contemporary observability practices.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Performance Strategy:

Lead performance testing and engineering across large-scale distributed systems, from NFR gathering and workload modeling to execution and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Scripting &
Tooling:

Design and optimize customized JMeter test scripts, developing custom code to handle complex scenarios and synthetic user journeys.
Observability &
Diagnostics:

Leverage APM tools (Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog) and log management platforms (Splunk) to monitor, analyze, and optimize system utilization.
Setting &
Data Management:

Collaborate with Test Data Management teams to establish data strategies and utilize service virtualization tools (Mountebank) to decouple dependencies.




Cross-Functional Leadership:

Partner with Agile software development, DevOps, and business stakeholders to communicate performance insights and drive system improvements.

Qualifications &
Requirements
Experience:

7+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing &
Engineering.
Core Tech Stack:

Advanced mastery of

JMeter

, solid

Linux fundamentals, and proficiency in

Java or

Python

.
Monitoring &
Observability:

Hands-on experience with APM tools (

Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus

) and

Splunk

.
Infrastructure &
Data:

Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (

Azure

), container orchestration (

Docker, Kubernetes, ECS

), and relational databases (

MySQL

).
Methodology:

Proven track record in Agile environments, with excellent documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves
Experience with

Chaos Engineering and SRE principles.
Knowledge of client-side performance testing tools and framework integration.
Experience with Service Virtualization.
