Minimum qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.

Project, lab, or coursework experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, or investigative/incident response environments.

Experience with programming or scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or SQL).

Preferred qualifications

Currently attending a degree program in Canada and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.

In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.

Experience in one or more security disciplines: SOC analysis, threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research.

Familiarity with fundamentals of operating systems, including Linux, macOS, or Windows.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance on building and/or maturing cybersecurity programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.

Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex and highly technical subjects.

Implement and/or assess existing security controls.

Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to close any issues that impact the service and its value to clients.

Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within customer environment to drive resolution for security issues.
