Senior DevOps Engineer – Langley, BCReporting to the Senior Manager, Applications Support, the Senior DevOps Engineer will provide technical leadership, shape the DevOps Center of Excellence, guide a collaborative DevOps practice, and champion automation and modern tooling to drive operational and development efficiency.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for DevOps initiatives, guiding architecture, standards, patterns, and tooling decisions.Lead and evolve the DevOps Center of Excellence, establishing best practices, reusable frameworks, and shared services.Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.Develop configuration management and automation using Ansible to deploy and maintain systems and applications.Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform in collaboration with Cloud and Infrastructure teams.Optimize and monitor Azure cloud environments, emphasizing cost efficiency, resilience, autoscaling, and resource optimization.Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Nagios and Splunk to ensure system health and reliability.Mentor, coach, and troubleshoot support to developers, administrators, and cross‑functional teams.Collaborate enthusiastically with development, cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to improve productivity and delivery processes.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at evolving the SDLC through automation, observability,



and platform engineering.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience as a software developer.3+ years of system administration experience.3+ years managing Azure Cloud services.Proficiency with Linux, Windows, Bash, PowerShell, Java.Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Hands‑on experience with DevOps tooling including GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Terraform.Solid understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps methodologies.Experience designing and improving SDLC processes using automation.Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving architectural decisions, mentoring others, and influencing best practices.Experience contributing to or establishing a DevOps Center of Excellence or similar engineering enablement function.Preferred AttributesCollaborative, positive, and enthusiastic leadership style.Excellent communicator with strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong leader capable of planning and executing large, complex initiatives effectively.BenefitsHighly competitive salary, company pension plan, free parking, exclusive team member offers, and opportunities for development and career progression.Compensation$114,220.00–$152,293.00.
