This role is responsible for achieving department and customer operation goals, ensuring ongoing equipment reliability and uptime through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, analysis and equipment upgrades. This role covers a night shift schedule (7 p.M. to 7 a.M.).ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all safety policies and procedures; working in a safeand effective mannerPerform service and preventative maintenance on all equipment within the DCRespond to all equipment breakdowns in a timely manner based on priority systemsMaintain accurate parts and work order records on computerized maintenance system (MAXIMO)Perform repairs with minimal supervision and take responsibility to complete jobs within time demandsTroubleshoot electrical systems through the use of electrical schematics, personal computers, panel layouts or manufacturer's specificationsProvide information on equipment/system problems to coordinator and provide updates as requiredProvide required shift change hand-off information to shift coordinator and incoming tradesMake recommendations to improve equipment operation/efficiency and reduce maintenance costsInstall, troubleshoot,



and repair DC Controllers and AC drives and photo electric systemsAssist industrial mechanics or powered lift truck technicians when requiredAbility to work at heights up to 100 feetRequirementsCurrent Ontario Certificate of Qualification — Industrial Electrician #442A or #309A Construction Electrician with relevant industrial experience (copy must be attached to application)Experience effectively troubleshooting equipment electrical/controls problems and investigating root causeExperience in troubleshooting Rockwell programmable controller (PLC) systems (Control Logic & SLC)Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment as well as various testing proceduresExperience in working with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)Ability to stand for long periods with occasional laying down, stooping and crouching, plus frequent heavy liftingAssetsExperience working on conveyors, sortation equipment, towlines, cranes & AGVsDetailed programming of PLCs and PLC systemsSiemens Simatic PLC troubleshooting experienceExperience with MaximoCompensation & BenefitsHiring range: $36 to $46.50/hr plus $2 shift premium.
