Data Quality Analyst – Advanced

Location: Toronto, ON – 4 days onsite

Duration: 12 months, with likely extension

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Interview: 2 rounds, in person The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst to support data governance, metadata management and data quality initiatives within a Capital Markets setting.

This role combines project delivery and application support, with a focus on identifying and resolving complex data issues, gathering business requirements and implementing effective Data Quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Support Data Governance, Metadata and Data Quality initiatives.
Analyze complex data issues and identify appropriate solutions.
Gather and document business and Data Quality requirements.
Work with stakeholders to prioritize and implement DQ requirements.
Identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.
Represent business interests in data-related initiatives and issue resolution.
Coordinate and lead Data Quality activities supporting business objectives.
Perform data analysis using SQL and Python .




Support adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality standards and practices.
Mentor and support other team members.

Must-Have Skills
Strong Data Quality and Data Governance experience.
Capital Markets business knowledge combined with robust technical/IT skills.
Hands-on SQL and Python experience.
Solid knowledge of banking/financial data and data governance principles.
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Commerce or related discipline.
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and adaptability.
