This role is ideal for Senior Business Analysts with strong Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems work experience.
Our Client is seeking up to two (2) Senior Business Analyst Resources to support and lead a variety of projects across the organization. There will be a particular focus on healthcare interoperability initiatives that enable the secure exchange of health information across systems, organizations, and care settings.
Successful candidates will play a key role in leading business analysis activities for complex interoperability projects, collaborating with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders to define requirements, support solution design, and drive successful project outcomes. The successful candidates will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for healthcare interoperability and digital health initiatives.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Analyze, document, and validate data mappings between source and target systems, including standards like HL7 FHIR.
- Collaborate with business, clinical, technical, and vendor stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and aligned.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, documenting decisions and outcomes.
- Analyze current and future state business processes to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of issues affecting integration and data exchange.
- Develop and maintain business process models, workflows, use cases, and user stories.
- Prepare clear and accurate documentation, presentations, and reports for various audiences, including senior leadership.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and cases; coordinate and support all testing activities.
- Support quality assurance, implementation, and go-live activities.
- Assist in the evaluation and procurement of technology solutions.
- Support organizational change management by assessing impacts and communicating project perks.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to stakeholders and project teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Business Analyst role within a healthcare setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on data integration or interoperability projects.
- Proven experience with healthcare interoperability standards and protocols, including HL7 v2 and HL7 FHIR.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex business and technical issues and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated experience leading business analysis activities for healthcare interoperability, integration, or digital health initiatives.
- Proven experience developing test strategies, test plans, and coordinating testing activities.
- Familiarity with one or more major Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
