The project involves the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders and requires a Labour Relations Coordinator to conduct workplace investigations and administrative duties.ResponsibilitiesConduct impartial workplace investigations related to:Harassment, discrimination, and workplace violenceUnion employee misconduct and policy breachesComplaints arising under collective agreementsIntake and assessment of complaintsDefine investigation scope and jurisdictionInterview complainants, respondents, and witnessesCollect and analyze documentary evidencePrepare high‑quality investigation reports that clearly set out:Allegations and issuesFindings of fact based on evidenceConclusions grounded in policy, legislation, and collective agreementsEnsure compliance with applicable legislation, including the Ontario Human Rights Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)Apply principles of procedural fairness, neutrality, and natural justice throughout all investigationsProvide consultation and guidance to Labour Relations and management regarding investigation processes, risks, and outcomesOther administrative duties as requiredQualificationsPostsecondary education in a relevant fieldMinimum 2 years’ experience in labour relations or related skilled conducting workplace investigations,



preferably in a unionized environmentDemonstrated knowledge of labour and employment legislation and collective agreement frameworksProven experience with investigation administration, documentation, and case trackingStrong report writing, organizational, and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointCollaborative team member with excellent interpersonal skills to interact with industry stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to review large amounts of information and confidently summarize key pointsHighly motivated with a positive attitude, and excited to take on challengesFamiliarity with collective agreements is an assetAbility to exercise sound judgment, discretion, tact and a high degree of confidentialityReason for vacancy: NewSalary range: $65,000–$85,000Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
